It has been another exciting few weeks at KDM, with plenty happening both on and off the course.
The club continues its incredible run of hole-in-ones, with Alan Rudnick and Derek Becker both acing the 8th hole — Alan with a 7-iron and Derek with a driver. This brings KDM’s remarkable tally to five hole-in-ones in five consecutive weeks!
Our Harry Solomon League team has made a strong start to the season, recording victories over Steenberg (5–3) and Bellville (5.5–2.5). The team now enjoys a short break before heading into four consecutive weeks of competition.
Although the recent Caddie League fixture at Strand was unfortunately abandoned, the team looks forward to getting back into action at Durbanville next week.
KDM recently hosted the monthly meeting of the Western Cape Golf Club Managers Association. Despite a smaller turnout than anticipated, the club was proudly represented by Club Manager Jason Bird, who delivered an outstanding presentation showcasing KDM and its continued growth.
Congratulations are also extended to Craig Poulton and Cameron Johnston for captaining the WP Super Seniors and Senior IPT teams respectively, with Riaan Lewis proudly representing KDM at the recent IPT hosted at Peaconwood.
The club would also like to thank the Coppin family for their generous donation of a beautiful commemorative bench in honour of Aubrey Coppin. The bench has been placed alongside the putting green for all members and visitors to enjoy.
Lastly, congratulations to Daniel Davidson and Anthony Hobson, who have advanced to the final of the Top 16 Matchplay competition after impressive semi-final victories.
We look forward to an exciting final ahead!
